Recipe: Smoothie Bowl and Eggs

Maybe this is the most hipster phase of my breakfast life as of yet, but smoothie bowls… are pretty incredible. I know they’ve been a huge riot on different social media outlets for some time now. However, when you don’t possess a blender – there’s very little you can do to go about making these creations.

Cue moving into this apartment where it is not only furnished but there’s a blender… and here we are, two month later, smoothie bowl in one hand, plate of eggs in the other. This is the way I start my mornings each day after some yoga and meditation. It’s by far my favourite way to begin the day.

Smoothie Bowl

  • Handful of spinach
  • 2 big spoonfuls of unflavoured greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup of oat milk (or any kind of milk)
  • 1/2 cup of frozen berries
  • Spoonful of spirulina
  • 1 serving size of protein powder (I prefer Whey)

Mix it all together in the blender, and top it off with some granola. Then on the side, crack two eggs on your pan, season liberally with salt, flip and fold on a plate while letting your smoothie bowl set. Pop a squat in front of your kitchen table and enjoy your very healthy and extremely delicious breakfast.
