Well, here I am once again moving locations (this time – to Berlin of all places!). Yes, I’m an almost-official Berlin resident until July of 2016… Isn’t that crazy? I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I live in the city that was once the epicenter of the Cold War. As I said in my last post, I apologize greatly for not being present for the past month. Part of this was moving and travel (which I’ll talk about in a second), but honestly the larger portion was laziness. If you know me well, which most readers do, then you know I have a horrible habit of starting things, becoming bored, and failing to continued said things.
Well not this time! (Hopefully)
So let me regal you in very quick and clipped format, what I’ve been up to for the past month…
First Stop: Amsterdam, where I saw some coffee shops (No, not the ones you’re thinking of! [Though I may have popped my head in once or twice to check out the popular ones]) and got a little too obsessed with street photography. Who can blame me though? How can I resist such beautiful streets? Obviously I did not, and I enjoyed absolutely every moment of it, even if it was just a day!
Next stop: London, where I got to see one of my favorite people in the world: Rebecca! I adore London, and even though I’ve lived there in the past – it’s still a personal love of mine, and this time was no exception. I experienced Sunday Roast for the first time, saw The Mystery Of The Dog In the Nighttime on the West End, saw my old employer (A Marr & Associates), and in all honesty- just had an incredible time remembering why it’s one of my favorite cities. Not to mention: I’ll be returning there on Friday, October 30! It may be just another trip to catch up with friends and see the town… but it’s also going to be Halloween! (So look out for a spooky post!)
What then, you ask? I bade a fond farewell to Cologne and hauled myself 4 hours on the Bahn to Berlin, Germany! Since coming here, I’ve been attending Humboldt University and walking around, exploring yoga studios, and eating/cooking as much as I can! You only live once, and living in Berlin has somehow solidified that for me. I only have one chance to be in the center of Europe and experience life as a young person without any real responsibilities to keep me from doing what I love. So as you can imagine…. that’s mostly consisted on reading, audiobooks, podcasts, the gym, tea, and cooking/exploring.
I’m going to try and be blogging on a more consistent basis from now on, hopefully involving a chocolate as a “carrot” approach. You can expect book reviews (and trust me, I’ve read a lot this past month – so there are options galore), maybe some yoga blogs, cafe exposes, healthy living posts, recipes and as much as I can pack in. If you have any suggestions for things I should go see and experience in Europe or that you want me to hear about – send me a message either at my Tumblr, Twitter, or by Email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Until next time, liebe Leser!
